Dxo photolab 4 noise reduction7/23/2023 1) use a tripod or other support to get the shutter speed down. There are techniques I use to reduce the effects of noise. Since the A1 has a higher resolution sensor and can capture more detail, noise will not be blown up as much for equivalent crop factors. Not a whole lot of difference, but the Z6 is slightly better through most of the range. ![]() You can only see EXIF info for this image if you are logged in. I just want to clarify that I still edit the photos in LRC and reduce the noise slightly within LRC. I guess it’s all personal preference but I’ve been leaving more images lately as they are straight out of camera. Take the Z6 & Z6ii for instance being 24mp bodies, those images could easily be cleaned up at 25600 and still look good. I’ve been using denoise software since it was released and certainly love using it but in the higher MP bodies I’m finding at times it’s better to forego it. I feel especially on something like a deer the denoise software makes smooth patches on the face completely void of detail. ![]() I typically try to keep my images less than 8000 iso but as we know that isn’t always possibly. I’m finding on the A1 bodies that anything above 10000 iso the images just retain more detail leaving the noise providing the crop isn’t excessive. I’m just wondering if any others prefer very high iso images in higher MP bodies straight out of camera, instead of running thru a noise reducing software.
